Open Destinations Releases the Top 5 Quick Wins for Tour Operators in 2017

Feb 17, 2017

Leading travel technology provider Open Destinations has released a new report, titled ‘Tour Operator Technology: 5 Quick Wins for 2017.’ The report has been derived from recent technology projects over the course of 2016 with Open Destinations’ worldwide customer base.

‘Many of our customers have now adopted this quick win approach in their technology projects,’ says Open Destinations CEO Kevin O’Sullivan. ‘These short-term, tactical plans have very controlled costs and everyone in the business can see tangible results from IT.  We work with our clients to make sure they have a good balance of quick wins running alongside their long-term strategy.’

O’Sullivan says that the biggest growth area for quick wins continues to be third party integrations with channel managers and wholesalers, with customers outsourcing their less profitable products to reduce administrative costs.  The report also covers other areas of the business such as cloud hosting and creating a supplier extranet to manage all supplier communications.

The report can be requested through the Open Destinations website, where viewers can also view video footage of CEO Kevin O’Sullivan speaking about quick wins at the ETOA Showcase Digital conference.
